CHANDIGARH, June 17: Deepak Goel maintained his unbeaten record by defeating Amandeep in the handicap billiards event in the ongoing YMCA Open Billiards and Snooker tournament at YMCA premises in Sector 11.

Deepak with an average break points of more than 30 points went onto beat Amandeep 464-199.

In another match, Anil Sharma got the better of Sanjay Kaushal 439-319 to assert his supremacy in the meet.

Cool and calculating Manav Dhawan defeated a tense B Khurana 403-360. Deepak Goel, Anil Sharma and Sameer Bhalla are likely to enter the semifinal stage of the billiards.

Meanwhile, the snooker league matches (semifinal) are in progress. The winner of the meet will be decided on Sunday.
