CHANDIGARH, January 8: Nearly 1,000 children from different schools took part in a painting competition organised by the Chandigarh Traffic Police in collaboration with Hind Motors at the Sector 23 Children Traffic Park 23 here today.
Results in order of merit: Below 12 years: Nidhi, Sudha and Yogesh Sharma; Above 16 years: Deepa Seth, Aditi and Sushil Kumar; Overall best painting prize: Ravish Kala.
A declamation contest was also organised as part of the Road Safety Week at the Traffic Police Lines in Sector 29 today, in which 37 students from various schools and colleges participated.
The results in order of merit: School students category: Vishal Bhardwaj, Sagar Bhandari and Sheyani Pillai; College students: Kanika Agnihotri, Yasmeen and Mona Lamba.
