CHANDIGARH, Dec 1: Defending champions DAV College, Chandigarh will be challenged by the underdogs SD College, Chandigarh for the Panjab University Inter-College cricket crown here tomorrow. DAV College beat Government College, Ludhiana by 182 runs while SD College pipped Panjab University Campus, Chandigarh by two wickets in the semifinal matches played here today.If the DAV-GC (Ludhiana) clash was absolutely lop sided, the SD-PUC affair was a cliffhanger. Needing 19 runs of the last two overs, the SD duo of Anurag Sharma and Amit Uniyal threw their bats around to help their college win with three balls to spare. But the real hero for SD College was Lakshay Sharma who played a memorable knock of 70. Undettered by the early reverses, Lakshay held the innings together and with support from Vikramjeet Sodhi, put his side on the winning track.DAV College on the other hand thrashed the Ludhiana lads.
