CHANDIGARH, Dec 1: DAV College, Chandigarh, with 21 points retained the title in the PU Inter-College best physique competition at PU Campus today.

GGN Khalsa College, Ludhiana was second with 8 points while PU Campus and Sri Guru Gobind Singh, Chandigarh, were declared joint third with 5 points each.

Hardeep Singh of DAV College-10, was declared Mr Panjab University. Hardeep, who recently represented India in the Asian Junior championship, was winner of gold medal in 80kg category.

In the final countdown, he was cut above the rest and pocketd the Mr PU title.

Other players who contributed to DAVC-10 triumph in the meet were Kulwinderjit Singh (65kg) and Hari Narayan (90kg).

The duo got gold in their respective group. Sanjeet (70kg) and Harpreet Singh (90kg) bagged silver medals for the team. GGN Khalsa College, Ludhiana, got one gold(plus 90kg) and one bronze (65kg) to win second place. PU Campus with one gold and SGGS-26 with one silver and bronze weredeclared joint third.
Results: 65kg: 1 Kulwinderjit Singh (DAVC-10), 2 Suykhdev Singh (Garhshakar), 3 Harjinder Singh (Ludhiana). 70kg: 1 Ranjit Singh (PU Campus), 2 Sanjeet (DAVC-10), 3 Anurag Pandey (SD-32). 80kg: 1 Hardeep Singh (DAVC-10), 2 Iqbal Singh (Ludhiana), 3 Sukhpal Singh (SGGS-26). 90kg: 1 Hari Narayan (DAVC-10), 2 Sukhdev Singh (SGGS-26), 3 Iqbal Singh (Ludhiana). Plus 90kg: 1 Jagmeet Singh (Ludhiana), 2 Harpreet Singh (DAVC-10), 3 Vishal Sharma (Ludhiana).
