Curious crowds mob Army camp

Armymen at Kaluchak had a tough time today controlling curious crowds which thronged the 196 Artillery Unit8217;s gate soon after the militant attack on the camp in which 30 people were killed. The cynosure of all eyes were the three militants who were killed in the retaliatory attack.

Many residents sneaked inside with mediapersons covering the incident. Those who could not manage entry climbed the trees nearby to have a glimpse of the killed militants. Some of them had even dropped official duties to visit the camp. General Officer Commanding Tiger Division Maj Gen Mohan Pandey, repeatedly shouted at his subordinates not to allow anyone to come in as live grenades hurled by militants were still lying around. But the crowds forced open the camp gate and reached the bodies. 8216;8216;Till date I have not seen a militant. So I don8217;t want to miss this opportunity,8217;8217; said a resident.
