Four held with weapons
Vadodara rural police on Monday night arrested four persons with sharp-edged weapons and bow and arrows near Sansrod petrol pump on National Highway no. 8 while planning to loot the petrol pump. According to police, there were a total of five persons but one of them escaped under the cover of darkness. The arrested have admitted of their involvement in a number of robberies and dacoities in Panchmahal and Vadodara districts and one of them Ratia Pulia Nayak was wanted by Waghodia police. Bag stolen
Deepikaben Devendrabhai Jain, a resident of Vasna octroi post, has complained to the police that a bag containing a cheque book and some documents was stolen from the dickey of her scooter parked in her house. Road police that an electric meter worth Rs 400 was stolen from his shop in Mahabalipuram complex on Tandalja Road.
