Man dies in accident
Vadodara: A resident of Surabhi Park Society in Gorwa was killed when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a tanker MH-04-H-7738 near Fertiliser bypass on National Highway No. 8 on Monday evening. The deceased, Shailesh Patel, died on the spot. A case has been registered at the Chhani Police Station.

Goods stolen
Goods worth Rs 5,000 were reported stolen on Monday night from a shop in Hari On Market at Gymkhana Pole in Sultanpura locality of the city under the Wadi Police Station. According to police, miscreants entered the shop by opening the lock of the shutter with duplicate key.

Jeep stolen
A Mahindra and Mahindra jeep, bearing registration number GJ-17-C-2892, was reportedly stolen from outside the casualty section of SSG Hospital at around 10 pm on Monday night. The vehicle is valued at Rs 1.75 lakh. A case has been registered in the Raopura Police Station.

Boy missing
Surat: Mahesh Magan Vasava 12, a boy residing at government servants quarters, NTPC, is reported missing since Monday morning, the Ichhapore police were informed today. His brother-in-law Lala Chandu Vasava told the police that Mahesh had come over to stay at their house, but has gone off without notice. Last seen, the boy was wearing a multi-coloured shirt and black trousers.

Cheating
The Katargam police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust and cheating against two persons after a city resident told the police that they cheated him of Rs 2.42 lakhs and also threatened him with dire consequences.
