Policeman arrested
A suspended police constable who had looted a tempo driver in Chhotaudepur late Wednesday night was arrested by the police on Thursday, and the loot recovered from him. Police said that the accused, Pravin Rathwa, had stopped a tempo in the town, assaulted the driver, Mohanbhai, and looted Rs 5600 from him.

Abduction case
A complaint was lodged with the Makarpura police on Wednesday by Ranoli villager Sumitraben that she was drugged and abducted by four people about two months ago. In her complaint, Sumitraben stated that on August 12, she was drugged by Laxmanbhai of Rampur village and abducted along with her baby girl. She was allegedly taken from one place to another over the next two months by Laxmanbhai and his associates. Through these two months, Laxmanbhai reportedly asked her to marry him and even threatened to kill her daughter if she refused to do so. She stated in her complaint that she managed to escape from the abductors8217; custody a couple of days back. Police has registered a case and begun a hunt for the accused.

IMFL seized
The city police on Wednesday raided a liquor joint and seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth Rs 2000. Four people were arrested under the prohibition law, a police spokesman said.
