
Burns death
Surat: Dilip Dattaram More 45, a resident of Govardhannagar slum of Limbayat, died on Wednesday evening in the Maskati hospital where he was admitted on November 11 with burn injuries, the police stated. Dr Batli of the hospital told the police in a complaint that More was brought to the hospital by his wife and children after he attempted suicide in his house on November 11. The cause for the extreme step has not been ascertained as yet. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered.
Driven to death
The Sachin police on Wednesday registered a case after the parents of a married woman, who committed suicide on Monday night, told the police that she was driven to death by her husband and mother-in-law. The woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the roof of her house.
Vehicle stolen
A TVS Suzuki motorcycle GJ 5 E 2235 has been reported stolen from the parking lot of the Bhagwan Piyush Complex in the Udhna area of the city, the police were informed on Wednesday.
House robbed
Unidentified persons broke into a locked house located in the Limbayat area of the city and decamped with jewelery worth Rs 9000, the Limbayat police said. Kirit Kishan Jain, a Limbayat resident, told the police that thieves broke into his house and took away gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 9000 from a cupboard before escaping. A case has been registered.
2 attempt suicide
Vadodara: Two women 8212; Danyanti Raman Parmar 25 and Sharda Laxman Chauhan 35 8212; residing in Makaprura and Panigate areas respectively made bids to commit suicide due to domestic disputes on Tuesday night. According to the police, while Parmar tried to commit suicide by setting herself afire after dousing her clothes with kerosene, Chauhan took insecticide.
