Cellular phone stolen
A cellular phone and a cassette recorder worth Rs 23,000 were reported stolen from a room in Girish hospital, Kailashnagar on Wednesday night. Mina Wakharia told the police in her complaint that she was sleeping in the hospital, when some unidentified person stole her Seimens-57 cellular phone an a cassette recorder. The police have registered a case under IPC 379.

Man dies
One Rakesh 40, a resident of a slum beside Ayurvedic hospital, Lal Darwaja died on Thursday afternoon in the Adarsh hospital. According to the Mahidharpura police, he was admitted on Wednesday, after he suddenly started getting fits. He was rushed to the hospital, but died on Thursday afternoon. The police have sent the body to the New Civil Hospital for a post mortem after registering a case under CrPC 174.

One injured
One person was hit in the head with an iron rod over a brawl in Bade Khan Chakla area of the city. One Sharif Yakub Pathan, in a complaint lodged on Thursday in the Athwa Lines area, said his neighbours Aziz, Anu Hayat, Hayat Ali and Anjum beat him up over payment of electricity bill as the two houses have one common meter. All four accused have been booked under sections of the Indian Penal Code, the police said.

Vehicle theft
A Kinetic Honda GJ 6 6410 was reported stolen from the Gotalawadi area of the city. Dimang Shah, the vehicle owner, told the Katargam police, that he had parked his vehicle in the basement of Balkrishna Apartments, Gotalawadi and found it missing when he returned a little later. A case under IPC 379 has been registered.
