Gold and silver ornaments,estimated to be worth 51,000 were found stolen from the residence of Ajit Kishore Bhagchandani which was burgled at Kirti Apartments building in Pimpri last afternoon. Police said unidentified burglars forced entry into Bhagchandani8217;s residence after breaking its lock and padlock with a crowbar. The burglary took place in a broad daylight while the Bhagchandanis8217; had gone out leaving their flat locked.

FIR lodged
Major Avinash Kohli of Ramwadi has lodged a First Information Report at Yerawada police station stating that a tape recorder fitted in his car was found stolen on Friday morning. Police said the theft took place while Major Kohli had left his car parked in the parking space of his residence on Thursday night. Identities of the thieves could not be ascertained till late Saturday evening, they added.
