Man shot at, killed
A 60-year-old resident of Mitrao village in Najafgarh, Balwan Singh, was shot at and killed by four people at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The police suspect the possible motive to be revenge following an ongoing fued between two families in the village. Earlier on April 4, one Balraj was murdered and Balwan Singh’s two sons were the accused in the case. Today, Balraj’s brother Anup, and four others drove upto Balwan in a Maruti and shot him at point blank range. The problem between the two families began over a disputed piece of land.

Armed men rob N Delhi shop
Four men, armed with knives and choppers, stole Rs 1.72 lakh from a wholesale shop at Khari Bawli market, Lahori Gate in North Delhi on Sunday. The men, between the ages of 18-25 years, entered Sanjeev Kumar and Company and threatened to kill the owner if he didn’t give them the money. Being the weekly holiday the market was deserted. Sanjeev was in his shop when the men barged in at 1 p.m.

Policeman hurt as gun goes off
A gun was accidentally fired on Sunday, injuring one policeman. Probationary sub-inspectors Sanjay Bhatt and Jaiprakash Mishra returned to the Krishna Nagar police station in East Delhi after finishing their patrol. Thinking that the magazine of his gun was empty, Mishra accidentally fired. Bhatt was shot in the chin and the bullet got embedded in his neck. He was rushed to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he is reportedly out of danger.

Unidentified bodies
The Railway police have sought help to identify the body of a 70-75-year-old man, 5’4” in height, wheatish complexion. The body was found under the staircase of the south overbridge car park at the Ajmeri Gate side on July 10.

They have sought public help in identifying the body of a 20-22-year-old male, 5’4” in height. The body was discovered at the railway track near Mangolpuri.

Body found
The body of 35-year-old Kalyanpuri resident, Madhuri, was found with multiple stab wounds on Sunday. She reportedly went to use the public lavatory in the morning, and the police suspect that she was assaulted there. Her body was found in a lane near her house with stab wounds in her back. Madhuri’s husband is a vegetable vendor and she has two sons. The Kalyanpuri police have registered a murder case.
