Embezzlement alleged
The alleged embezzlement of about Rs 2.90 lakh has been brought to the City Police8217;s notice by the Managing Director of AIR Ads. Limited, Amitabh Gupta. According to sources, the MD in a complaint before the police alleged that an employee, Satwinder Pal of S.A.S. Nagar, embezzled the amount after issuing forged bills. A case under Sections 408, 420 of the IPC has been registered and the police is investigating the matter, sources added.

Scooter stolen
A resident of Ambedkar Colony in Dhanas reported the theft of his scooter CH-01-K-7049 from outside the Sector 40 market. According to sources, a case has been registered.

Man killed
A man on the pillion was killed outside the HUDA nursery near the Industrial Area here after a speeding truck hit the scooter he was riding late in the evening today, a report from Panchkula said. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Parminder. The police have registered a case and investigations are on.
