All seven UML ministers, including Foreign Minister Sahana Pradhan, submitted their resignation even as Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala urged them to reconsider their decision. The move followed their debacle in the recenty held polls to the Constiuent Assembly.

The UML has also indicated that it may not be part of the future Government, which might affect its stability.
