Cop injured as jeep hits motorcycle

A traffic police sub inspector officer sustained injuries after a jeep driver hit the motorcycle he was riding at Shivaji Road in Kasba Peth on Tuesday.

The driver, who was identified as Santosh Sopan Shinde was later arrested by the police. Shinde is a resident of Shindewadi in Haveli taluka.

Sub inspector Raut, riding a motorcycle, was on his way to Gadgil chowk when Shinde, who was driving his jeep at great speed hit the motorcycle at the back. Raut sustained injuries on his leg. Raut has registered a complaint against the accused at the Faraskhana police station.
