The Haryana police head constable, Jaiveer Singh, who shot himself inside the Sector 5 police station on Friday, has held some police top brass and a property dealer responsible for his death. In his suicide note he has named DGP M.S. Malik, AIG Welfare M.S. Malik, Navdeep Singh Virk, DSP Jagwant, Mehar Singh, the steno to Yamunanagar SP, Head Constable Raj Pal and property dealer Hardeep Singh Jaggi.
Jaiveer, in the note, stated that false allegations were levelled against him at the behest 8216;8216;DGP8217;8217; and 8216;8216;AIG Welfare8217;8217;. He wrote that he was ending his life because of harassment at the hands of those named. Sources said Jaiveer was under stress due to an inquiry following allegations that he had laundered Rs 95,000 from a fellow policeman. Confirming this, Kalka SDM Devinder Kaushik said the note would be sent for forensic examination.

Those named in the suicide note, meanwhile, evaded the media. Attempts to contact DGP Malik and AIG Welfare Malik proved futile. SP Panchkula Ranbir Sharma also did not respond to the calls made on his mobile phone. Calls were made at the house of Haryana Police PRO Vijay Shandilya as well, but was not available. Meanwhile, Jaiveer8217;s elder brother Jagbir Singh and brother-in-law Narinder have demanded that all officers named in the note be suspended as they can manipulate investigations.
