Patil and Meira Kumar are part of the two-member team the Congress will be sending to Senari tomorrow.

Patil is here as an emissary of Congress president Sonia Gandhi to study the situation arising out of the Senari massacre.

Replying to a question he, however, did not spell out a time-frame for taking a 8220;fresh stand8221; on Bihar saying 8220;in politics one has to take several matters into account.8221;

Sources maintain that just after the two-member team submits its report, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi may come out with a policy decision on the RJD.

On party spokesman Ajit Jogi8217;s demand that the Rabri Devi ministry should resign on moral grounds, Patil said:8220;I will not contradict the statement.8221;
