Cong list mum on Sonia

New Delhi, Aug 9: THe Congress today shifted general secretary Madhavrao Scindia and spokesman Ajit Jogi to Guna and Shahdol ST respectively and gave a ticket to Punjab PCC chief8217;s wife, Parneet Kaur from Patiala in its first list of 72 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections as it kept up the suspense over Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh who are widely expected to contest from Amethi and south Delhi.

The list contains as many as 20 members of the dissolved Lok Sabha and three from the Rajya Sabha and covered nominees partially from Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Union territories of Andaman and Nicobar islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep.While Scindia has shifted from Gwalior in the wake of his mother and BJP leader Vijayaraje Scindia8217;s retirement from electoral politics leaving Guna vacant, Jogi has moved out from Raigarh.

Former Union Minister Kamal Nath has been renominated from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh along with Motilal Vora fromRajnandgaon.

Former deputy speaker P M Sayeed will seek re-election from Lakshadweep.
