In the sub-junior girls section, Govt Girls School-21 A8217; defeated DAV-15, 8-6. The eventual winner led 5-3 at the break.

In another match GSSS-8 A8217; beat GSS-21 B8217;, 9-5.

In the men8217;s section, DAV School Club A8217; got the better of GGSSS-20, 12-7 while GGSSS-8 beat DAV-15, 7-3, in the women8217;s group.

City swimmers shine
The Chandigarh aquatic team comprising of Puneet Rana, Harsimran Brar and Kirandeep Kaur ranked among the medal winners in the National School Games in the discipline of swimming, which recently concluded at Nasik.

Puneet got third positiion in 100 metres breaststroke while Harsimran and Kirandeep took third place in 200 metres breaststroke and medley, respectively.

Sports meet
The Army School, Chandimandir will organise its 12th annual sports day on December 11 at 11 a.m., at Raina Stadium, Chandimandir.

Apart from PT display and aerobics, track events will also be held on the occasion.
