Class IV staff protest

CHANDIGARH, JULY 18: Members of Class IV Government Employees Union have criticsed the alleged callous behaviour of the officials of the department towards the daily wagers working for the PWD Div no.2 road, Sukhna Lake branch.

In the meeting, presided over by the president of the Union, Lalu Ram, the members alleged that during the calling out of the names of the workers certain discrepencies are being made by the officials. The Union members alleged that the names are called out, without being entered in the muster-register.

The members have threatened to intensify their agitation if immediate steps are not taken to stop the practice.
