Get taught
Teaching is an art. But sadly, in these days of marks achievement, the art is being relegated to the background. But Dr Viney Kirpal, of Galaxy Institute of Interactive Training has other plans. She will conduct a training programme, Effective Teaching Skills8217; sponsored by Infotech India along with Enertech Electronics for 20 teachers of Fergusson College. This programme will use video tapes of classes conducted by teachers to assess and evaluate present teaching skills and then help build upon them. It will also give tips on how to select, organise and present teaching material so that the system becomes more student-centred. It is, after all, the future generation that teachers deal with and which needs all such efforts.
All in cells
Have you always wondered about those nagging aches and pains that have no medical reasons to be there in the first place, but yet continue to make your life miserable? Have you been through the grind of getting several investigations done and yet reached a blank? The reasons according to kinesiologists, a fast gaining therapy in the West is because of that thing called cellular memory. According to Ritu Malhotra, feelings are not just what we know them to be, feelings. They are the all important emotions that course thorough our bodies, run through every cell. As a result this memory that is deeply imprinted in every cell that makes up our bodies, is responsible for the way we react, think and feel.
In a nutshell what we go through now, whether it is a destructive behaviour like addiction, or the inability to get out of painful situations like a job or a marriage is because of this powerful computer chip8217; called cellular memory. But while computers cannot change, humans can, with the help of kinesiology. Ritu Malhotra who has done her Ph.D in the subject in California, USA, will now conduct a two and a half-day workshop in Pune starting from Friday, August 6, to create awareness and introduce insights on the subject that can change the way we perceive things, so that you can live a life to its full potential. As she puts it 8220;A problem is never the problem, but the way you look at it can be.8221;
