Marked discipline September 6 was the last Monday of Shravan and guess who was celebrating? Hundreds of three-seater and six-seater autorickshawallas! Well, what8217;s the connection? Many autorickshaw stands had held the Satyanarayan puja generally done in every Maharashtrian home, on any day of Shravan particularly the Mondays. As the sun set, it was fascinating to see at least 20 to 25 autorickshwas in most of the stands, neatly standing in a row, bedecked with marigold flowers and coloured electric bulbs. The vehicles too looked sparkling clean, the music rendered through loudspeakers was soft and comprised bhajans. In general, there was an air of gaiety and most importantly, an air of thorough discipline. Honestly, it was the most pleasing sight on the roadsides. Wish they could be as organised and disciplined on thoroughfares too 8212; it would not make customers feel each time that he was on his last journey!

Well for help

WE went crawling out on Saturday night, and looked like luck was on our side. We hit Pegasus- the Sporty bar situated at San Mahu complex. Well, it did have a sporty look, with the place jam-packed to capacity. The EmCee was swimming around the place trying to get everyone on the floor. A plethora of games with really cool prizes being dished out to the people. There were so many prizes that it appears everyone walked home with goodies. The show was organised by Matrix Entertainment. Everyone was having a good time with a game of pool and the lovely music by DJ Zubair. Looks like finally there is a place that caters to everyone8217;s delight.

Hunt is on
It8217;s not enough to walk down ramps and pose. Glam models these days have another passion bartending. Or so it would seem if you walk into Crystal Ball, this Wednesday. Mr Poona Personality 1999 Adil Khan, model and actress Anahita Shroff or fashion photographer and model co-ordinator Rajesh Baney could well be the one handing you your drink. Hair and make-up artist Tasneem Shaikh, models Kaizeen Buhariwala, Rakesh Bapat, Aditi Parekh and Trilok Rao are the others expected to spice up those cocktails. As DJ Yusuf Kapasi mans the controls the hunt for The Face Of The Month will begin.

Mother lives on
The saint of the gutters, Mother Teresa lives on in the hearts and minds of Puneites. In keeping with the idea of charity and kindness towards all, members of the Khristi Aikya Sanghatana donated food packets to the women inmates of the Mother Teresa Home on Tadiwala road. Dilip Amolik, chairman of the sanghatana pointed out how it could serve as an inspiration to others. Deputy commissioner of police, D D Prabhakar, and Shyam Agarwal, editor, Aaj ka Anand and Sister Padma from the Home were present.
