Showtime
Nupur India, a charitable trust, presented a vibrant cultural programme at the Nehru Memorial Hall on June 27, comprising fashion sequences, classical dances and a kiddies’ sequence. The show began with a Ganesh Vandana, followed by a fashion show. While the `Bus Stop’ sequence had teenagers putting up a well-choreographed performance, it was `Barbie Girl’, performed by kids, that really wowed the audience.

An ethnic sequence set to Yanni’s Tribute, a `Dil To Pagal Hai Hungama’ round by the entire troupe of 50 participants and another summer wear show by the kids ensured a thunderous applause from the audience. Organised to help the tribal children of the Vachad village, which has been developed by well-known social worker Anutai Wagh, this was Nupur India’s fourth show in Pune. And it looks like there’s many more to come.

Goodies, huh?
Good things in life may come with big price tags. But when it comes to clothes, the loyal customer disregards these trivialities. The `Good Things’ boutique, recognising the regular customer’s contribution to its trade, comes up with a week of discounts and prizes for them. “A Dhamaka sale from July 1 to 8 is being organised to show a sense of gratitude to the loyal customer,” says Amita Mansukhani, proprietor.

It will also celebrate its new look with stunning outfits and a variety of prizes, which includes a pair of gold earrings, meals for two at leading restaurants and five-star hotels, designer crockery, gift coupons and much more. What’s more, every customer buying on the first day is entitled to a free gift. Sale with a difference?
