July 16: The Swami Shri Prempuri Ashram trust has organised a Holistic Health Workshop8217; to be conducted by Yoga specialist Dr Gunde and his team. A lecture previewing this workshop will be held at Prempuri Adhyatama Vidya Bhavan, Swami Prempuri Chowk, Babulnath, at 6 pm, where Dr Gunde will speak on Let us be healthy8217;.

Scholarship

Swati Chaturvedi, a journalist with the Indian Express, has been selected for this year8217;s Dhiren Bhagat British Press Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to get a first hand experience at working in a British newspaper. The scholarship was set up in 1989 in the memory of noted journalist and columnist Dhiren Bhagat.

Debate on Enron

An open debate on the proposed Enron power project will take place between the state government led by deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde and the anti Enron group led by Medha Patkar. It will take place at Katalwadi near the project site in Guhagar taluka.

Essay contest

The Forum of Free Enterprise has announced the 41st All India Essay Competition for college students. The essay topic is Importance of Infrastructure for Economic Development.8217; It is open to all graduate and post-graduate students in India, and the last date for submission of entries is October 31.
