The most talked about romantic pair of primetime daily soap, Kis desh mein hai mera dil on Pune, the city where they spent their carefree college days

Even though it8217;s been five years now since Harshad Chopda left Pune, he still has vivid recollections of the lanes in the city, which he treaded as an engineering student. Chopda who brought romance back to the silver screen with Additi Gupta, just after Kasautii8217;s love birds signed off shares, 8220;I have had the most wonderful time here. A large chunk of my student life owes its fun loving moments to the city. I can remember how we used to roam the FC road. Carefree as we were at that time we used to have a blast once college used to get over.8221;

Where Chopda was the student of Modern College of Engineering, Additi Gupta who pairs opposite Chopda as Heer was pursuing her graduation in apparel designing at Symbiosis. Seven months back when she left Pune to step into the small screen world, she did not realise she will miss her Pune life so much. 8220;When I came to Mumbai, I already had the Pune culture and climate infused in me. I missed hanging out at A18217;s where we got our most cherished respite, A18217;s milk shake,8221; she reminisces.

If to Gupta it was A18217;s milk shake which was a respite, to Chopda who avoided cooking, it was Nandu8217;s paranthas that kept him going. 8220;The taste has left its indelible traces on my salivary glands. I still haven8217;t tasted anything like that. For five years now I have missed it like hell,8221; shares Chopda who was crowned with the title of the Best beta at the Star Pariwaar Awards last year.

Chopda was passionate about acting since his college days. 8221; I participated in the plays and talent hunts conducted in the college. Acting was my first love and it did not happen to me just like that. I had to sacrifice my engineering career for that,8221; shares he. But for Gupta, acting just happened like that. 8220;To be very honest I never had acting on my mind and acting as career was out of question. It was in Symbiosis only that I was spotted by Ekta Kapoor8217;s associate Pooja. I was apprehensive about getting into this industry but then I thought why not give it a shot,8221; shares Gupta whose portrayal of the idealistic, coy and the girl next door character of Heer has made her win hearts everywhere.

Still a very fresh face to the industry, Gupta manages to leave a mark. 8221; People don8217;t care to know about my real name. They call me Heer and completely ignore the fact that Heer and Additi are two totally different individuals,8221; shares Gupta.

Only 20, Gupta had to leave her graduation mid-way to for the daily soap. 8220;This profession demands 100 per cent from you, especially when it comes to time. You have to give all your time to it,8221; shares Gupta who now plans to stick to the industry for the years to come.
