Jaswant Singh wins teaching aids contest
The State Institute of Education, Sector 32, held a teaching aids contest for science teachers of the Chandugarh schools today. It was held to promote effective teaching-learning process. Jaswant Singh of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 46, was declared the winner of the competition. Karuna of Government High School, Sector 7, bagged the second prize.

NSS camp ends
The 10-day NSS camp at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20, concluded at Colony Number 4, Industrial Area, Chandigarh today. As many as 50 NSS volunteers attended the camp.

Sub-title contests
Bawa Production and Western Star Group, in collaboration with NSCA, will hold Miss and Mr India North-West contest on the October 5, 1999, at the Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh. The contests for the subtitles would be held at Hotel Aroma in Chandigarh on October 1 and on October 3 at Hot Track in Sector 11 of Panchkula. Twenty-five girls and 20 boys have been short listed for the event.
