No Punjab night buses till Aug 15
Security in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh has been put on alert following intelligence reports that ISI-trained militants may strike in the region during Independence Day celebrations. Roadways authorities said that night bus services to destinations in Punjab and passing through Punjab have been suspended till August 15.

Brigadier among 12 hurt
A brigadier and three Army jawans were among 12 persons injured in a powerful blast triggered by ultras at Sopore in north Kashmir today. Militants detonated an improvised explosive device when a fleet of Army vehicles was passing the area , inflicting injuries on Brig M.P.S. Bagwa, Commander of 192 Brigade.
