Chautala govt survives no-trust move
The no-confidence motion moved by the Congress and the Haryana Vikas Party against the three-and-a-half month-old Om Prakash Chautala government was defeated on Monday by a margin of 52 votes against 28. With the BJP continuing its support to the Chautala government, the survival of the government was never in doubt. The Opposition nevertheless pressed for a division of votes to embarrass the government, which had recently inducted four HVP MLAs as ministers in the Cabinet.
