Chandigarh golf from Sept 17

CHANDIGARH, Sept 9: The Chandigarh Golf Association is organising the second State Golf Championships for sub-juniors, juniors and seniors on September 17 and 18 at Chandigarh Golf Club, according to CGA geneal secretary CSR Reddy. The championship is open to residents of Chandigarh, SAS Nagar and Panchkula.

Entry forms are available at the reception of the Chandigarh Golf Club and the last date of entry is September 14. Handicap 9 and below are eligible for senior category.

Meanwhile, cricket Dronacharya Desh Prem Azad and Chandigarh SSP, CSR Reddy were unanimously reelected president and general secretary of the CGA in the annual general body meeting held yesterday.

The other office-bearers elected were: JS Cheema, PS Pruthi, Rajiv Bali sr vice-presidents, Daljit Singh, Surinder Jhinah vice-presidents, Vivek Vahi secretary, Lt Col retd B S Chahal joint secretary and Desh Deepak Khanna treasurer.
