NEW DELHI, July 22: Madhya Pradesh beat Haryana and Karnataka outplayed Chandigarh in the 47th B N Mullik Memorial Police football tournament in Pondicherry, according to reports reaching here.

In a Group I match, Madhya Pradesh defeated Haryana 4-1. Rupesh Thama, Sanjay Thofa, Rajendra Mega and Neeraj Khan were the scorers for MP while Ranbir Singh reduced the margin for Haryana. Karnataka defeated Chandigarh 2-1 in a Group 3 match. Henry Madan netted both goals for the winners while Ajay Kumar scored for Chandigarh.

In another Group 3 match, CRPF held Maharastra to a 3-3 draw. Khibjum, Sunil Kush, and Kasak scored for CRPF. Xavier Bernard netted two goals and Zamir Shahid the third one for Maharashtra. Bihar got a walkover in Group 2 against Assam Police as the latter did not turn up.
