PUNE, Nov 15: A 19-year-old girl caught copying in her second year examination at the SNDT college has been reported missing after the principal asked her to wait in his cabin.

The girl8217;s father, a director of education at Mulgaon in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, reported her missing and filed a case on Monday morning. According to the Deccan Gymkhana police, the girl, Devarchana Das 19 was caught copying by the principal on October 28.

The girl apparently made good her escape and has been reported missing ever since. She was scheduled to visit a friend at Daund and then fly to Chennai before she proceeded to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Her father, who had been informed by the college authorities, arrived in the city on Monday and filed a missing case with the police.

Devarchana, police say, had resided in the city for three years and had also been a student of BMCC. Police sub-inspector Nandakishore Jangam is investigating.
