With Delhi in poll mode, most had to cancel elaborate plans to inaugurate their respective state pavilions at the annual trade fair in the Capital, and that included the indomitable Mayawati. Her publicity department even brought down her photographs at the state pavilion to avoid facing the wrath of the EC. Spinmeisters pointed out that she had little reason to annoy the EC, which ensured free and fair polls in Uttar Pradesh that saw her to power.
