Haryana government today withdrew cases against 30 BKU activists while the agitating farmers refrained from carrying out their threat to snap water supply to Delhi, raising hopes of a negotiated settlement.

The farmers also agreed to defer their agitation till tomorrow. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chautala has postponed his visit abroad to June 15.

The state Congress also started a shanti padyatra to Delhi today in support of the farmers8217; cause.
