VADODARA, July 29: The Vadej police on Tuesday registered a case against three security guards of Hindustan Nitro company in Bharuch district on charges of attempting to kill a farmer on Monday night.
According to the police, Nattubhai Dudabhai Solanki, a resident of Kahanwa village in Jambusar taluka, had taken his cattle on the outskirts of the village for grazing. While returning, the cattle entered the company premises. He immediately rushed inside the company to bring them back.While he was coming out of the premises, he was spotted by three guards, who challenged him and asked him to raise his hands. One of the guards fired two rounds at him, severely injuring his legs. The injured farmer was admitted to the SSG hospital for treatment.
The Vadej police has registered a case under section 307 and 114 of the IPC, 25-C of the Arms Act and the BPA against the guards.
