Camp BJP all smiles

Buoyant after the exit poll projections on Wednesday, the BJP convened a meeting of senior party leaders for tomorrow to finalise its campaign strategy.

The meeting, to be held at party chief M. Venkaiah Naidu’s residence, is likely to be attended by L.K.Advani. The party’s renewed confidence was reflected in the rhetoric of party general secretary Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. He claimed the Congress was heading for a hat-trick of defeats under Sonia Gandhi’s leadership. Taking a cue from Sonia’s demand for the disclosure of the name of Vajpayee’s successor, Naqvi asked the Congress to name her successor.
