BSB down Kerala XI

CHENNAI, July 31: Bank Sports Board BSB scored a 45-run win with a day to spare over Kerala XI on the second day of their three-day pre-quarterfinal match in the MRF All-India Invitation Cricket Tournament for the Buchi Babu Memorial Trophy at the MA Chidambaram stadium here today.

In the other match between Indian Airlines and Andhra XI, the latter, with a 83-run first innings lead, are all set to ground Indian Airlines, who were 134 for 5 in 23 overs in their second essay.

In the BSB-Kerala match, BSB declared their first innings at 227 for nine for a lead of 170 runs. Left-handed batsmen S Sharath was responsible for this as he added 44 runs for the sixth wicket and 48 for the eighth wicket. Sharath8217;s 66 had two sixes and six fours.
