LUDHIANA, April 23: Police have arrested Raman Kumar, a resident of Chander Nagar, who is alleged to be responsible for a daylight robbery in New Kundanpuri here on April 4.
SSP Dinkar Gupta said that three persons had looted Rs 2.13 lakh and some jewellery from the house of Arvinder Singh during the day, when his wife Bhupinder Kaur was alone at home.
During probe and on the basis of a photograph prepared by Bhupinder Kaur, the police suspicion fell on Raman Kumar alias Nikka. The SSP said the arrested person has been remanded to police custody for two days.
