Rohan Bopanna stormed into the final of the Challenger event at Bukhara, Uzbekistan, with an emphatic 6-1, 6-2 victory over fifth-seeded Mikhail Ledovskikh. Bopanna, who entered the main draw through the qualifying rounds, set up a final clash with top seed Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia.

In the doubles final, Bopanna and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi of Pakistan lost out on the title by the narrowest of margins, coming out second best in the super tie-break in their match against fourth seeds Nicolas Renavand and Nicolas Tourte of France.

The Indian and his partner won the first set with ease, but the fourth seeds came back strongly to win the second and stretch the match to the super tie-break, and etch out a close 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 victory.
