Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer has slammed the bonus point system employed in one-day cricket internationals after his team8217;s fate was left hinging on the outcome of the India-Sri Lanka match. Despite a comprehensive victory against India, Pakistan ended up conceding a bonus point on the basis of the ICC rule which allows a losing team to gain a bonus point if it prevents the rival team from achieving a run rate 1.25 times higher than its own. 8220;The issue such as bonus points should be decided within the difference of 20-30 runs only. It is not fair when a side wins by 60 runs but is still not good enough for a bonus point8230; It shows a flaw in the system,8221; said the Englishman.

Bigger squad: Ganguly

Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly today said the International Cricket Council should allow for bigger squads for one-day tournaments considering the number of matches teams have to play which tend to make players more prone to injuries. 8216;8216;There is a problem if we have to pick a squad of 14. The ICC should consider that every alternate day there is high intensity cricket. There are bound to be injuries to players in such a scenario,8221; said Ganguly. The Asian Cricket Council has restricted the squads to 14 members for the Asia Cup. 8216;8216;The squads should be bigger. For instance, if we want a replacement, then the player injured would have to leave and sent back home for another player to come in,8217;8217; he said.
