Blueline kills a lawyer in Delhi

A lawyer was crushed to death by a blueline bus in Karol Bagh area of Delhi.

A lawyer was crushed to death by a blueline bus in Karol Bagh area here on Sunday, police said.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Ashok Sehgal, who was coming on his scooter, was run over by the blueline on the busy Faiz Road chowk road that leads to Jhandewalan in Karol Bagh at around 12:20 pm, they said.

8220;When the bus started in reverse gear, the driver was not able to control it. The bus kept moving back at a fast speed and hit Sehgal who was coming on his scooter,8221; a police officer said.

Sehgal, a resident of Patel Nagar, was rushed to the nearby Ganga Ram hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

The bus, plying between Karol Bagh and Seemapuri, was impounded and its driver Yaqoob Ali arrested, they said.

The victim used to work as a Lawyer as well as a Life Insurance Corporation LIC agent.

The body was sent for a post mortem and a case of negligent driving was registered against the erring driver, they added.
