
CHANDIGARH, MARCH 21: The local unit of the Uttarakhand Yuva Manch organised its sixth blood donation camp at the Sector 29 Garhwal Bhavan, here today. The camp was dedicated to the memory of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, whose Martyrdom Day falls on March 23. As many as 100 volunteers, including women, donated blood at the camp. Adviser to the UT Administrator Jagdish Sagar, inaugurated the camp and Deputy Mayor Kanhaiya Lal Sharma presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Sagar said that Chandigarh was an exemplary city, where voluntary blood donation was one of the highest in the country. He called upon the youth to actively work for nation building activities and create social harmony and exhorted them to follow the path shown by Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
