BJP seeks action against guilty8217; docs

The Bharatiya Janata Party today demanded that the killers of Omprakash Mishra be arrested immediately and action under the Criminal Procedure Code CrPC be initiated against doctors at Bhagwati Hospital.

BJP city unit president Kirit Somaiyya said a delegation of BJP leaders met Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde this afternoon to press their demands. He informed that Mishra had been an active BJP member for more than 20 years, and his two brothers were Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh RSS activists.8220;Mishra had no criminal antecedents. Hence we want a high-level probe into the matter. Also, Mishra died only because of criminal negligence by the doctors at the hospital. We want police to initiate action against them,8221; Somaiyya said.

He added that BJP corporator Sardar Tara Singh, who8217;s also in charge of the civic health committee, will visit major hospitals in the city and check if enough life-saving facilities are available with them. Tara Singh will submit a report on his findings to his party seniors, Somaiyya said.
