SEBI notice to 6 cos

Mumbai: Sebi has issued a showcause notice to six plantation companies which have launched collective investment schemes, asking them why action should not be taken against them for failing to comply with the directions issued by it. These entities have failed to co-operate with Sebi-appointed auditors and not produced the relevant accounts for the purpose of audit.

HLL appeals

MUMBAI: Hindustan Lever Ltd HLL has reportedly appealed to the appellate authority against Sebi8217;s verdict on the insider trading case in which the company has been found guilty. Sebi had announced the verdict on March 11, and the company was given 30-days time to appeal to the higher authority.
