
CHANDIGARH, Dec 14: A demonstration project on bio-management for villages would be taken up in Punjab at the cost of Rs 15 lakh. This follows a presentation made by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology on 8220;bio-management plan for village environment improvement8221; before the Punjab Chief Minister.
Executive Director of the Council N.S.Tiwana suggested that a Duckweed based wastewater treatment system should be introduced in the state. According to an official press statement, the Chief Minister wanted the bio-management plan to be immediately demonstrated in four villages of the state.
