Post his Bigg Boss win, Diana Hayden8217;s 8220;good friend8221; Ashutosh Kaushik is now eyeing the 8220;industry8221;
They say when you are truly elated, it reflects in your voice. But looks like that rule doesn8217;t apply to Ashutosh Kaushik, the winner of Bigg Boss Season Two, who was officially crowned by actor Akshay Kumar this Saturday. Quiz the dhabha-owner from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh on bringing home the Rs one crore kitty and his answer is a muffled response. A few prods more and he replies, 8220;Desh ki janta ka badapan hai.8221; So he never expected to win? 8220;Not really. I was in it for the game but didn8217;t know I would come this far,8221; he speaks in chaste Hindi. Always seen as the surly one in the Bigg Boss house, except when 8220;good friend8221; Diana Hayden was in close proximity, Ashutosh says he was putting his bet on 8220;bhaiya8221; Rahul Mahajan as the final winner. 8220;I think he was a tough competitor and deserved to win,8221; tells Kaushik who is stingy with his sentences, at least when it comes to giving this interview. So will he be keeping in touch with Diana? This finally gets him to speak loudly. 8220;She was a good friend in the house and that8217;s all I am willing to say at the moment,8221; settles Ashutosh who before the show was going steady with his girlfriend Sonel, a fellow contestant during MTV Roadies 5.0.
Interestingly, this isn8217;t his first win in a television reality show, having earlier won season five of MTV8217;s cult youth show Roadies. 8220;Yes, I won that but it didn8217;t get me too far,8221; rues Ashutosh who struggled in Mumbai post his Roadies win hoping to find work as an actor. 8220;I tried hard but didn8217;t succeed,8221; he says. Then the team from Colors Channel zeroed in on him. 8220;I said yes to the show because I had already been in a reality show format and I think I am the best candidate for such shows. Also at that time I needed to get to stay somewhere,8221; chuckles Ashutosh who hasn8217;t really decided on what he8217;s going to do with all that money. 8220;Perhaps my parents will decide,8221; says the small town man who will continue chasing his big dream. 8220;Now that I have been noticed, I want to try my luck in the industry,8221; tells Ashutosh who is open to 8220;all kinds of work8221; 8211; be it acting, modelling and even another reality show. Now, that would be a hatrick of sorts!
