Kosi, the river of sorrow, has changed course, drowning hundreds of villages and affecting an estimated 20 lakh men, women, and children in Bihar. The number of dead is rising, the survivors face a harsh winter as they wait for the water to recede.

To help them pick up the pieces, The Indian Express has set up a relief fund. As we did during the Gujarat earthquake, Mumbai8217;s Black Monday and the tsunami. Confident in our belief that our readers care.
