
After the split among the Bajaj brothers, the Rahul Bajaj faction is consolidating its grip over group flag ship Bajaj Auto.
On Wednesday, Bajaj Auto inducted three more directors, including Rahul Bajaj8217;s youngest son Sanjiv and son-in-law Manish Kejriwal, on its board taking the total strength to 15.
CII chief mentor and non-executive Chairman of ACC and Haldia Petrochemicals, Tarun Das is the third director inducted on the board, Bajaj Auto said in a release here. Sanjiv was an executive director with the company, while Kejriwal is the MD of Temasek Holdings Advisors India Pvt Ltd. Rahul Bajaj8217;s elder son, Rajiv is already the joint managing director of the company.
The company is also talking about splitting its businesses into two units with one concentrating on auto business, while the other looking after treasury operations. The company has over Rs 3,000 crore of assets under its treasury division.
