NEW DELHI, April 28: A theatrical programme depicting the life of the 10th Sikh prophet and founder of the Khalsa Panth, Guru Gobind Singh, has been organised as part of the order8217;s tercentenary celebrations in the Capital.

Produced by senior journalist Harminder Kaur, the two-hour Badshah Darvesh emperor and ascetic, an epithet Guru Gobind Singh will be staged at the open-air theatre of Talkatora Gardens till April 30.

The programme is a narrative of the guru8217;s life, from his childhood in Patna through the founding of the Khalsa at Anandpur Sahib to his last breath at Nanded, organising secretary Kanwaljeet Singh said. The plot tries to highlight the political background against which the Khalsa was born, he added.
