Alleging that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Badal were instigating 8220;political terrorism8221; in the state, former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh today warned them of dire consequences if they did not stop. He alleged that as many as 48 Congress workers were murdered in the state.

Singh was in the city to attend a function to disburse Rs 2 crore for the Bihar flood-affected. He told reporters that there would be 8220;bloodshed8221; in the parliamentary elections if SAD did not mend its ways, as it had done in the civic polls. 8220;The entire plan to terrorise Congress leaders and workers is being executed by Sukhbir and his brother-in-law Bikram Singh Majithia under the patronage of the Chief Minister, who has virtually given up to the dictates of his ambitious son ever since the SAD-BJP government came to power,8221; Amarinder alleged.

Alleging politicisation of state forces, the former CM alleged that that even SHOs of the state police force were being appointed on the direct intervention of Sukhbir Badal.

He claimed that there was complete disorder in the system as junior police officials did not obey orders of their seniors and merely followed the instructions of their political masters. Reacting to the recent statement of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal that there would no impact of global economic recession on the industry of Punjab, Capt Amarinder said instead of issuing such irresponsible statements, the CM should have taken steps to improve industrialisation in the state, which, he said was slow-paced.

8220;During our tenure, we had brought 399 mega industrial projects, but after SAD-BJP8217;s coming into power, all projects derailed due to faulty policies of the state government,8221; he alleged.
