Bachchan has many projects lined up

This year, Bachchan8217;s releases like Bhootnath, Sarkar Raj, The Last Lear and God Tussi Great Ho didn8217;t set the screen on fire. The high point of the year has been The Unforgettable Tour. Bachchan, along with Abhishek and Aishwarya, toured 12 cities in four countries 8212; UK, USA, Canada and Trinidad 038; Tobago 8212; over two months. Bachchan had fallen ill during the concert also, coming down with a viral fever and chest infection during the Los Angeles leg.

The year has not been without controversies. The Bachchans were targeted by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MNS chief Raj Thackeray during his campaign against migrants from north India earlier this year. Thackeray had hit out at Bachchan saying he was more loyal to his home state of Uttar Pradesh than Maharashtra where he earned fame and riches. He again targeted Jaya Bachchan last month for her remark that she would speak in Hindi at a Bollywood event. While Bachchan rebuffed the allegations on both occasions and proclaimed his love for Mumbai and Maharashtra, he also apologised if Jaya8217;s remarks had hurt Maharashtrians in the latest controversy.
